What is Dengue fever and symptoms


Dengue fever is a viral fever that spread by the dengue mosquito. When a dengue mosquito bites someone who is sick with dengue fever, that mosquito is infected and becomes a carrier of the virus. Once the mosquito is a carrier, it can spread the virus to other people by biting them. The dengue virus does not spread directly from person to person. People get sick 3 to 14 days after being bitten by an infected dengue mosquito. These mosquitoes can then infect more people and one dengue case can very quickly become many, which results in an outbreak.

There are many common symptoms of dengue fever:
  1. Sudden fever and extreme tiredness
  2. Vomiting,
  3. Diarrhea
  4. Abdominal pain
  5. A metallic taste in the mouth
  6. Skin rash, which appears three to four days after the onset of fever
  7. Mild bleeding from nose
  8. Pain behind the eyes
  9. Muscle and joint pain
Dengue fever treatment by Ayurveda:
  1. Stay at home and rest in a room with window screens to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.
  2. Boiled basil leaves served in a warm drink like tea can help prevent an outbreak of dengue.
  3. Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss. It will also help to bring down body temperature.
  4. The leaves of the coriander can be taken in the form of a tonic to reduce the fevers in dengue.
  5. Papaya juice is a natural cure for dengue fever. The juice of Papaya leaf is a sure cure for platelet deficiency
